Antigua square of San Roque was built in 1801. It is covered in most parts by brick with talavera tiles much like poblano. The magic Puebla state handicraft is reflected in a multitude of decorative objects, curiosities and memorabilia visit made in a variety of materials. Currently, it is a craft market where you can find talavera, onyx, sweets, miniatures, embroidery, glass, pottery, textiles, popotillo work, etcetera.
It is considered as the first craft market in the city and since 1961 occupies the premises of what was an old market.
Currently the site is properly conditioned and refurbished, with a total of 112 premises, which are sold the most varied handicrafts produced in different regions of the state: Talavera, (tableware and decorative items), clothing (costumes, dresses, blouses, blankets, shawls, scarves, jackets, sashes and tablecloths), leather (bags, briefcases, wallets, belts and sandals), ceramics (tableware and decorative items), pottery (bowls, pots, jugs, plates, cups and vases), wood (guitars, masks, sticks and cassette), palm (bags, mats, folders and hats), jewelry (silver, nickel silver, blackened and fantasy), copper (plates, ashtrays, trays, jugs, cups and bracelets).
